DESCRIPTION

You’re Me is made from found materials, zippers, teeth, cotton, and
amalgamated personal pieces of an emo girl’s collection, to make up the body
of this electrifying fully functional backpack. Bright colors and patchworked
patterns nod to the highly decorated and adorned scene kids and emo fashion
from the 90’s to present day. The DIY punk attitude expression of alternative
culture ties in within its origin in sustainability. In stitching and stapling
these articles, the often neglected, trashed and forgotten clothing items are
recycled to become a mode of transport for the coolest ghoul in school.
