The Eyes of Love
copper and fabric
49” x 17” x 21”

DESCRIPTION
The Eyes of Love communicates the connection between the body and
the abstraction of its structure. The sculpture refers to the body in its circles,
which allude to watching eyes. Fabric drapes over the bottom half to emulate
the idea and structure of a skirt. The center wires and the curving middle of
the sculpture speak about the structure of a DNA helix spiral. The piece was
made by breaking down copper pipes and soldering them together. The yarn
component was weaved together to function within certain spaces, making
solid blocks of fabric.
