Big Girl In A Big World
colored pencil and paper on wood panel, ribbon
8” x 26”

DESCRIPTION
Big Girl in a Big World conveys the thoughts and desires of the artist’s
childhood self. This drawn, colorful, cut-out character is given the name
Cheetah Print Girl. Cheetah Print Girl has consistently dreamt about a
life of glamour, excitement, and fashion in New York City, brought to life
through collaged, eclectic outfits, including ones for their small dog, Coco,
too. The work is a reflection on childhood fantasies, styles, and aesthetics,
imaginatively answering the redundant question: “What do you want to be
when you grow up?”
