GABY ROSSETTI
Skins
polyester, fabric, sublimation ink
20” x 15”
2025
DESCRIPTION
Skins experiments with dye sublimation printing onto polyester and reimagines familiar digital patterns and textures. The work samples a combination of images of animals and rectangular cutouts of animal coats, alluding to recognizable prints often seen on garments. Due to the polyester’s transparency, the viewer can see through the blouse, presenting an alternative perspective of the already distorted pattern. The work shows that it’s possible to have exciting and interesting tops without just using the laid out, expected process.
